It's TIME to DANCE

ron.jpg

Hi Guys,

I just love it when I get to see all of my old friends.
There's nothing like a great huGG or a good handshake.
Spending time with people I care about is the best thing in the world for me.
It gets better when we do it for a cause ... and this cause was to raise food for Beans and Bread, soup kitchen.

The Annual Holiday Party 2007 turned out to be a very successful event, thanks to you.
I had the best time I've ever had at one of our get togethers.
We counted over 300 people attended and we collected over 200 bags of groceries.

The band, Severn Run, was great and soooo danceable ...
you have got to look this band up and go to one of their gigs.
I'll have the info posted on our website very shortly.
I really want to thanks them for their support ... KUDOS guys!

And Mark Hemler ... DJ.
I always knew him as a good dancer but a few months ago I went to a Barn Dance and saw him teaching Square dancing and DJing all the other music ... doing a great job I might add ... so I asked him if he'd be interested in doing the party ... and he was. He really kept things going and all of you dancing.
You might want him for your next event.
Thanks Mark ... Kudos too!

We raffled off two GEORGE STRAIT tickets to the upcoming concert at the Arena this month ... everyone seemed to enjoy this and the winner was Mary.
Thanks for playing at this one everyone.

I'd also like to thanks Diane for supplying the door prizes and selling the George Strait raffle tickets.
Diane has a heart of gold. Her and Chuck are one of the rare couple that give to anyone and everyone as a gesture of kindness with no strings. Love you guys ... KUDOS!

I'd also like to thanks Patty and Joanne for taking care of the bar with such speed and effervescence ...
thanks to Little texas for the use of the club
and last but not least ...
Anita ... for allowing me to hire her to make all of the wonderful food we ate ... and ate ... and ate ...
and to you for the desserts ... YUMMYKUDOS!

And then the stars of the night ... YOU.
You came loaded with groceries ... ready to play ... and that is what you did.
The floor was never empty.
Did you see all of those grocery bags as you walked in?
I've talked to dozens and dozens of people who couldn't find a suitable parking place and still stopped ... and carried in their groceries ... then left.
You all amaze me ... and I am honored to call you friends.

I do have to tell you of a plan that had to be altered ...
Beans and Bread was closed for the holidays ... when they finally got back to me, we couldn't hook up to get them the groceries ... so I got in touch with another actual homeless shelter, The Helping Up Mission on Baltimore street and they picked up all of the food and thanked you all for your generosity.
We did send a check, from your cash donations that you put in the basket at the door as you walked in, to Beans and Bread ... in the amount of $ 101.00. You guys are the best!

Well ... what do you want to do next.
I just want to see you all again but you have to tell me where, when and why.
Drop me a note.
We definitely need to gather new email address from some of our old group.
A number of my emails were returned undeliverable ... so I need you to poke and prod them into getting in touch with me.

Have the very best 2008.
